Pause
Lay down the hurry and make room to notice the Lord again.

שַׁבָּת SHABBAT · STOP · REST · DWELL

Set apart the time. Gather your family. Create, remember, and find Shalom.
Set apart the time
The world gives families plenty of reasons to hurry. Sabbath gives us an opportunity to decompress, enjoy one another, and remember the God who holds it all together.
Sabbath Morning Art Club is a curriculum, but it is also a shared family rhythm. Each week, Scripture, art, biblical word studies, listening, conversation, and reflection give families a reason to gather and create beside the people they love.
There is beauty in learning side by side. We learn from the lesson and from one another. We share the struggles when something is difficult and celebrate the victories when understanding comes.
The finished artwork matters, but what happens around the table matters too.
Every Sabbath is a new opportunity to look back at the week that has passed, place it before God, meditate on what He has been teaching us, and pray for Shalom—peace, wholeness, and restoration—over the week ahead.
“Stand at the crossroads and look. Ask for the ancient paths: ‘Where is the good way?’ Walk in it, and find rest for your souls. But they answered, ‘We will not walk in it.’
I appointed watchmen over you and said, ‘Listen for the sound of the trumpet!’ But they answered, ‘We will not listen.’ Therefore, let the nations hear; let the earth bear witness. Trouble comes because My words were not heard and My instruction was rejected.”
Hear the call · Choose the good way
Follow the story of God through the Torah, the Prophets, the New Testament (Brit Hadashah), the biblical Feasts, and Jesus the Messiah—Yeshua. Biblical word studies may include Hebrew, Greek, imagery, and cultural context when they deepen understanding.
A gentle Sabbath rhythm
Bring the people God has given you, the supplies already in the house, and a willing heart.
Lay down the hurry and make room to notice the Lord again.
Return to the words, feasts, stories, and ancient paths He gave His people.
Let color, texture, symbol, and beauty help truth settle into the heart.
Take one small truth from the Sabbath table into the week ahead.
Younger children may listen and paint. Older students may study, research, and build a portfolio. Parents and grandparents can create beside them. The goal is not identical projects. The goal is shared attention.

Cultivating leaders · Strengthening communities
Sabbath Morning Art Club can begin around one table and grow into a place of welcome. We are calling parents, artists, mentors, pastors, and trusted community leaders to create gatherings where children and families are known, believers are encouraged, and those searching for hope can encounter truth, beauty, and genuine fellowship.
Kids need adults who will show up, listen, create beside them, and invest in who they are becoming. Use BibleLabs lessons and art as a starting place, then serve the people God has placed around you and make a difference where it is needed.
